{"id":2231,"date":"2019-06-22T14:02:27","date_gmt":"2019-06-22T14:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/africanyouthcommission.org\/?p=2231"},"modified":"2019-06-22T14:02:27","modified_gmt":"2019-06-22T14:02:27","slug":"ayc-participated-in-gamal-abdel-nasser-transformational-leadership-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/africanyouthcommission.org\/new\/2019\/06\/22\/ayc-participated-in-gamal-abdel-nasser-transformational-leadership-fellowship\/","title":{"rendered":"AYC participated in Gamal Abdel Nasser Transformational Leadership Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Gamal Abdel&nbsp;Nasser&nbsp;Transformational Leadership is the first\n(African by African) Fellowship organized by African Youth Bureau in\ncollaboration with Pan-African Youth Union and other partners under the\nauspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Arab Republic of Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/africanyouthcommission.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/006-1-600x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2238\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative brought together young African leaders from all parts of\nAfrica and diverse background to discuss the role of African youth in promoting\nyouth leadership in socio-economic and political development of the African\ncontinent. It complements the African Union\u2019s <strong>\u201cAfrica Unite for Youth: Bridging the\nGap and Reaching out to African Youth <\/strong>the&nbsp;<strong>1 Million By 2021 Initiative\u201d <\/strong>launched by H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the\nAfrican Union Commission (AUC) during the second African Youth Forum, held in\nAddis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 24 to 26 April 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arab Republic of Egypt as 2019 President of the African Union is\ncommitted to achieving the objectives of African Union and the implementation\nof the Million by 2021 Initiative which seeks to empower and build the\ncapacities of one million young Africans in the areas of education, employment,\nentrepreneurship and participation in policy and decision making processes by\n2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/africanyouthcommission.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/0012-1-600x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2239\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Representing the AYC, Mr. Flomo Mau Maiwo, Deputy Executive Chairperson shared\nhis experience and the contribution of AYC in harnessing the talent and\npotential of African youth to realize the demographic dividend as well as our\ncollective aspirations of the Africa 2063 Agenda for the Africa We Want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/africanyouthcommission.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/002-600x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2242\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The intensive 15-days fellowship was started on June 8th and closed on\nJune 22nd 2019 in the capital city of Egypt, Cairo. Fellows took part in interactive\ndiscussions and public lectures on promotion African values through\nself-reliance, solidarity, hard work, collective prosperity, building on the\nAfrican successes, experiences and best practices for the formulation of the\nAfrican model of transformation and development.
